Robert Fairchild

Robert E. Fairchild, 82, of New Hope Road, Princeton, WV, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in Beckley. Born on February 18, 1934 in Davy, he was a son of the late George and Gillie Andrew Fairchild. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a retired security guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe; 2 infant brothers; and a sister, Helen McComas. Survivors include: Nephew: Jerry McComas and wife Dorothy of Bluefield Special friends: Treva Mattas of Princeton Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Minister Gary Lamie officiating. Burial will follow where the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military honors. Those wishing to attend services are asked to meet at the cemetery.
