Michael Gordon East, Sr.

Michael Gordon East Sr., 66, of Prosperity School Rd. Rock (Windmill Gap), West Virginia passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Michael was born on February 22, 1950 n Mercer County, West Virginia to the late Charles Raymond East and Myrtle McMillan East. Michael had been a lifelong resident of Windmill Gap and was of the Methodist faith. Michael was a retired auto bodyman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol Ann Woodward East and one brother Charles Wayne East. Survivors Include: One Son: Michael East Jr. and wife Dianna of Rock, WV Four Brothers: James East and wife Carol of Graham, NC Johnny East of Windmill Gap, WV Don East and wife Sheila of Lashmeet, WV Gary East and wife Dawn of Daytona Beach, FL Four Sisters: Judith Thompson of Princeton, WV Jane Thompson of Bluefield, WV Kathy Kessinger of Athens, WV Mona Morris and husband Jerry of Mechanicsville, MD One Grandson: Brandon Grose Two Special Little Girls: Terra Grose and Austin Grose Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), WV with Rev. Earl Hill officiating the service burial will follow at the East Family Cemetery in Windmill Gap, WV where Dougie Miller, Garland Darago, Neil Mason, Jamie East, Jason East, Brandon Grose, Chris Bailey and Jerry Lane will serve as pallbearers. The East family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
