Lawrence Louis Kapish

Lawrence Louis Kapish, 90, of Thorpe, WV passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Princeton Community Hospital. Lawrence was born on June 06, 1925 in Thorpe, WV to the late Joseph Kapish and Catherine Baodner Kapish. He was retired from US Steel as warehouse foreman for 44 years; he served his country with the US Navy during WWII. He was also a member of the UMWA. Lawrence was of the Catholic faith. He was the last member of his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sally Louise Sparks Kapish. Survivors Include: One daughter: Linda Dillon of Wytheville, Virginia Two Grandchildren: Sherri Green of Pittsburg, PA Scott Estep of Charlotte, NC Three Great Grandchildren: Brittany, Brianna and Brooklyn Green Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), WV with Rev. Ray Bolen officiating the service. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of his service at 3:00 p.m.
