Donnie Steele

HERNDON — Donnie Steele, 66, of Herndon Road, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the home of his son. Born on November 26, 1949 in Welch, he was a son of the late William Sherman and Agnes Gibson Steele. He was a maintenance worker for Norfolk & Southern Railroad and was a veteran of the US Air Force and served in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Steele. Survivors include sons, Cody Seth Steele of Mullens and Donnie Eric Steele and Tony Steele of Columbus, OH; four grandchildren; brother, Bill Steele of Maben, WV; sister, Vickie England and husband Terry of Richlands, VA; niece, April Quesenberry; nephew, Steven England. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Bryan Stump, Adam and John Lester, Tim Burton, Timmy Reed, and Cory Wills serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
