Bettie Maybelle White, 83, of Clayton Pointe Drive Clayton, North Carolina formerly of Ashland, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at her residence in North Carolina.
Maybelle was born on September 14, 1932 in Ashland, West Virginia to the late William D. and Lillie Brooks Owens. She resided in Ashland, West Virginia, for the majority of her life, and was a member of the Prosperity United Methodist Church. Maybelle was a 1951 graduate of Northfork High School. She had been a resident of Johnston County, North Carolina for the past six years. Maybelle was the last member of her biological family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie B. White Jr; brother William Owens; sister Jacqueline “Kitty” Terry and granddaughter Raycheal Osborne.
Survivors Include her Son Lonnie “Rocky” White and wife Pearl of Clayton, North Carolina. As well as several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia with Rev. Earl Hill officiating the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, West Virginia where nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The White family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 12:30p.m. until the time of her service at 2:00p.m. at the funeral home.
