Kathleen Kirk

Kathleen V. Johnston Kirk, 85, of Estes Street, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on March 28, 1930 in Montcalm, she was a daughter of the late James Allen and Cora Pierce Johnston. She had been a resident of Mercer County for most of her life and was a member of the Lorton Lick Baptist Church. She was retired from Tazewell County Schools. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Kirk; 3 sisters and 4 brothers. She was the last surviving sibling of her family. Survivors include: Daughters: Patricia Smith and Isaac of The Villages, FL Karen Riggs and Benny Montcalm Son: Robert Kirk and Denise of Montcalm 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Shawn Bragg officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Friends may call on Friday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
