Drema Sue Blackburn

Drema Sue Blackburn, 58, of Harmon Bridge Road, Thorpe, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at her home. Born on March 21, 1957 in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of Bonnie Miller Walker of Thorpe and the late Herman Walker. She had been a lifelong resident of Thorpe and was a retired nursing assistant with 23 years of service at Welch Community Hospital. Survivors in addition to her mother include: Son: CPT Todd V. Blackburn and wife Samantha of Fayetteville, NC Grandchildren: Malachi and Gabriella Blackburn of Fayetteville, NC Brother: Jeff Walker and wife Jackie of Thorpe, WV Sister: Barbara Walker of Atlanta, GA Nephew: JD Walker of Thorpe, WV Niece: Mrs. Gary (Heather) Eastridge of Atlanta, GA Great nephews: Jake and Ian Eastridge of Atlanta, GA Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Dean Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
