Rosie Mae Shinault

Rosie Mae Shinault, 87, of Hill Avenue, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Mercer Nursing and Rehab in Bluefield. Born on March 17, 1928 in Tazewell, VA, she was a daughter of the late Reese and Bessie Jones Alley. She had been a resident of Bluefield for most of her life and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Harvey Shinault; brothers, Johnnie, Walter, Raymond, and Tom; and a sister, Mary Ellen. Survivors include: Sons: William D. Shinault and Kathy of Bluewell, West Virginia Ronald W. Shinault and Linda of Princeton, West Virginia Gene Shinault and Cheryl of Princeton, West Virginia Jessie G. Shinault and Carolyn of Kingsport, Tennessee Daughters: Linda S. Coakley and Ron of Troutville, Virginia Deborah L. Mitchem and Russell of Brushfork, West Virginia Robin Furr of North Carolina Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA where William, Gene, and Ronnie Shinault and Craig, Conner, and Russell Mitchem will serve as pallbearers. Timmy Shinault will serve as honorary pallbearer. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
