Peggy Combs

Peggy Combs, 72, of Van Wert, OH and formerly of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 in Ohio at the Van Wert Manor. Born on May 14, 1943 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late James and Gertie Perkins Sheets. She married Gordon Carlton Combs on April 2, 1961 who passed away in 2001. She was a member of the Eastern Star and loved to play Bingo. She was known for her southern charm and delicious southern cooking. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Leonard Sheets; and sisters, Pauline Lucado and Gladys Stafford. Survivors include: 4 children: Michael Combs and wife Mary Angela Tenwalde and husband Tony Carlton Allen Combs and wife Lou Lynn Abels and husband Tom 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
