Freddie Kyle Pannell 77 of Hales Bottom Falls Mills, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, West Virginia. Freddie was born on November 12, 1938 in Wise, Virginia to the late Hasgue and Blanche Stallard Pannell. Freddie was retired from the N&S Railroad and was a member of the Brushfork Baptist Church. He had been a resident of Falls Mills for the past 38 years. Freddie served his county in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 628 in Princeton, West Virginia. In addition to her parents he was preceded in death by one daughter Dreama Pannell and four brothers and two sisters Survivors: His wife: Meadie Strickland Pannell of the home Step Daughters: Lakin Carter of Bluefield, Virginia Destiny Carter of Bluefield, Virginia Sister: Brenda Sue Garvin of Princeton, West Virginia Four Brothers: Charlie Pannell of Falls Mills, Virginia Joe Pannell of Lake Wells, Florida Carroll Pannell of Miami, Florida Roger Pannell of Oakland, Maryland Step Grandchild: Gracie Mournning Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Rev. Danny Scott officiating the funeral service. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia where friends and family will be serving as pallbearers where the Mercer County Honor Guard will be conducting Military Graveside rites. The Pannell family will be receiving friends and relatives on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
