Luther Elwood McCroskey

Luther Elwood McCroskey, 75, of Hudson, NC passed away on Wednesday January 20, 2016 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born February 16, 1940 in Jenkinjones WV, to the late Brady and Gladys McCroskey. He was a retired furniture worker and has resided in Hudson NC since 1993. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Donna and his brothers, Bill, Herb, Harvey and Paul McCroskey. He is survived by his children, Julie Lucas and Richard McCroskey both of Hudson, NC, Jimmy Chapman and wife Angela of Lenoir, NC, his grandchildren Anessa, Brady, Kevin, and Steven; and his Brother Bobby McCroskey and wife Jean of HighPoint, NC and sister Juanita DeTarvile and husband Bob of Lakewood, WA; his sister in laws Betty, Marie, Ruby and Mary McCroskey and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will Tuesday January 26, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens- Shires Funeral Home of Bluewell WV with the Rev Donnie Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
