Russell Douglas Lemons

Russell Douglas Lemons, age 86, of Brierwood Lane, Bluefield, WV died on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Westwood Health Care in Bluefield, VA. Born on June 20, 1929 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Flem and Doris Nolan Lemons. He had lived in Bluefield, WV most of his life and was a graduate of Beaver High School. . He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served with the US Army. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with 42 years of service. He was a member of Edgemont Baptist Church in Bluefield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bartie Sutphin Lemons. Survivors: Brother: Ralph Paul Lemons of VA home in Delaware Nephews: Larry Lane Lemon of Millsboro, DE Larry Ridley of Orange Park, FL Jerry Ridley of Melbourne, FL Nieces: Ouida Lemon Carpenter of Laurel, DE Sandi Ledbetter of Apopka, FL Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Hugh Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where friends and family serving as pallbearers.
