Mary Jo Tackett Mitchem

Mary Jo Tackett Mitchem 65 of Laurel Street Bluefield (Bluewell), WV passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at her residence. Mary was born on March 15, 1950 in Mohegan, WV to the late Joseph and Martha Hicks Tackett. She had been a resident of Bluewell for the past 16 years and was a member of the Old Fashion Full Gospel in Northfork, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Harrison Mitchem, two sisters; Linda Tackett, Helen Dotson, one brother Roger Mullins and one grandson Dereck Allen Dotson. Survivors Include: Two Sons: Donald Mitchem and wife Beverly of Bluewell, WV Daniel Mitchem of Sandlick, WV Two Brothers: Joseph Tackett Jr. and wife Michele of Green Valley, WV James Tackett and wife Crystal of Brushfork, WV Two Sisters: Nancy Bishop and husband Dempsey of Denton, NC Margaret Vines and husband Danny of Wyoming County, WV Three Grandchildren: Justina Mitchem, Amy Mitchem and Rene Mitchem One Great Grandchild: Clair Elizabeth Dailey who Mary loving referred to as her Sunshine Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 05, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), WV with Revs. Harold and Shirley Simpson officiating the service. Burial will be held at Rock House Cemetery in Kimball, WV. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, December 04, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home.
