Robert Luther Brooks, 77, of Yukon Street, Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born on June 6, 1938 in Sharpsburg, GA, he was a son of the late John Robert and Della Verner Brooks. He had been a resident of Princeton for 50 years and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of the Riley Vest Post #9 American Legion of Bluefield and the Flat Top Copperheads Sons of Confederate Veterans in Princeton where he was an active member of the color and honor guard for both. He was also a member of the Princeton Elks, the Princeton Fitness Center and was an avid football fan for Concord University. He formerly worked for Rockwell International in Princeton and was a retired salesman from Ramey’s Chevrolet and Andy Clark Ford in Princeton
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanna E. Bignotti Brooks.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton with Father Elpidio Geneta officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with family members serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call an hour prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.
