Princeton- Jimmy Wayne Thompson, Sr., 81, of Jimmies Place, Princeton, WV, went home to be with his Savoir Monday November 16, 2015.
Born May 09, 1934 in McComas, WV, he was a son of the late Edd and Goldie Conner Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a member of the Ceres Baptist Church, was a retired sales representative having worked with Pocahontas Welding for thirty-five years, a former Fireman with the Green Valley Volunteer Fire Department, and had been a resident of Maple Acres for seventy-five years.
In addition to his parents Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by a son; Jimmy Wayne Thompson, Jr.
Survivors include his wife; Nedra Ann Jarrell Thompson of the home, a son; David Edward Thompson, Sr. and wife Karen of Princeton, a sister; Meryleen Lambert of Princeton, and a grandson; David Edward Thompson, Jr. and wife Jessica.
Funeral services for Mr. Thompson will be conducted Friday November 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with the Revs. Butch Honaker and James Mooney officiating. Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Princeton. Serving the family as pallbearers will be friends of the family.
