Paul Lewis Bell, 86, of French Street (Bluewell), Bluefield, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born on August 1, 1929 in Freeman, he was a son of the late Aries and Dora Belcher Bell. He was a retired coal miner and was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Son: Richard Bell of Bluefield
Daughters: Rosa Moody and husband Tim of Bluewell
Judy Dills Popp and husband Steve of Belle
Patricia Oxley Legg and husband Tony Walnut Cove, NC
2 grandchildren: Michael Moody and Steve C. Popp
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. James Milam officiating Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Military honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Monday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
