Sylvester “Bud” Grose, 89, of Dogwood Hill Drive (Bluewell), Bluefield, went to be with his LORD on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born on July 21, 1926 in Crumpler, he was the son of the late Henry Harrison and Sadie Lambert Grose. He was a member of the Voice of Praise Worship Center and was employed by Algoma mines and was a retired self-employed contractor for the mines.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Essie, Roby, Paul, Virgil, Berchum, Perry, Thomas “Tom” and Teddy Grose; and sisters, Cordie Bailey, Gracie Bailey, Faye Tilley, Ruby Anderson, Dottie Grose, Pearl Beggs, Edna “Sis” Fulcher.

Children: Shirley Sadler and Barry of Brushfork
Palma Sarver and Kenneth of Bluewell
Alvin Grose and Pamela of Bluewell
Grandchildren: Kelly Adkins, Jason Sarver, Matthew Grose, and Andrew Grose
Great grandchildren: Shawn Adkins, Brandi Adkins, Ashlynn Sarver, Keith Sarver, Jaxson Grose and Charity Grose
Surviving Sisters: Louise Morris of Rocky Gap, VA and
Betty Harrison of Pineville, WV
Special nephew: Clarence Fulcher and wife Phyllis
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. N.R. Taylor and Rev. Preston Mathena officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
