Donna Walton Hamilton, 71, of Bluewell, WV flew away with the angels Thursday, November 5, 2015 at her home in Bluewell. Born November 19, 1943 at Bluefield Sanitarium in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of James and Ellen Walton. She lived in McComas, WV during the early years of her life and then moved to Bluewell, WV where she resided for the remainder of her life. She was a graduate of Montcalm High School Class of 1961. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Randal “Hambone” Hamilton, her parents, brother Randall Walton, and three sisters Barbara Richardson, Sandy Sparks, and Jackie Alverson. Left to cherish her memory are, her daughter Stephanie Hamilton Hamblin and husband Pete of Bluewell, sister Margret Kay May of Sykesville, MD, grandchildren Lindsey and Josh Hamblin, and special friends Susie Shrader, Sarah Shrader, Josh Jesse, Becky Copley, Janet Meadows, and Jerry Kade. Also left are her dog Snookie and cat Willie. She worked for many years as a restaurant manager of G.C. Murphy Company in Green Valley. She then earned her CNA license and worked at Cumberland Care Nursing Home in Bluefield for several years. She went on to work at Ramada Inn until retiring to be a Nana. She loved playing cards with her family, playing Scrabble, and making plastic canvas crafts. She loved cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and West Virginia Mountaineers and watching Days of Our Lives and Survivor. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 8th at 3:00 pm at Craven Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV. Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Josh Hamblin, Pete Hamblin, Josh Jesse, Ronnie Hodge, Shawn Cantrell, and Matt Sisk will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Craven-Shires Funeral home on Sunday, November 8, 2015 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm
