Harold Mickey Fowler

Harold Mickey Fowler, Sr., age 66, of Thorpe, WV died on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on December 20, 1948 in McDowell County, he was a son of the late Roy and Georgia Mitchem Fowler. He had lived in McDowell County his entire life and was a retired disabled coal miner. He was a member of the UMWA and was a member of the Church of God. He was devoted father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bobby and James Fowler; and a sister, Stella Brooks. Survivors include: Sons: Harold “Mickey” Fowler, Jr. and fiancée Jessica Stanley of Pageton, WV Christopher Fowler of Pageton, WV Special Niece: Alane Robin Perkins of Thorpe, WV Brothers: Roy Fowler of Speedway, WV Darrell Fowler and wife Debi of North Carolina Sister: Goldie Hopkins of Bluefield, WV 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Jerry Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Fowler, Jason Fowler, Patrick Cline, Patrick Luster, Dakota Fowler and Russell Fowler. Friends may call on Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service
