Arabella Walker, 100, of Caudill Court, Princeton, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her home. Born on July 26, 1915 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel B. and Louisi Ana Bailey McKenzie. She had been a resident of Princeton for 48 years and was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Women, Charter member of the Mercer County Quilting Bees, and the New Hope Extension Home Makers Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Walker; brothers, Stafford, Patrick, Woodrow, Bailon, Edward, and Norton McKenzie; sisters: Inez Mann, Dannie Dickerson, Athlone Moody, and Maggie Moody; and a grandson, David Lee Bailey. Surviving are her children, Nita Ivey (Joe) Panama City FL, Richard Walker, Walnut Cove, NC Cindy Osborn, (Jack) Princeton, Barbara (Cricket) Cochran, (Buster) Walkertown, NC, Esther Cochran, (Jerry) Bluefield, and Eva Lewis, (Joe) Rocky Gap, Va. Grandchildren: Ryan Ivey, Charlotte, NC, Richard Walker, JR, NC, Shawn Walker, NC, Tonya Walker, NC. Angie McKirdy, NC. Lacy Bailey, Georgetown, KY, Philip Bailey, Franklin, IN, Paula Hankins, Broad Run, VA, Carol Lester, Princeton, WV, Patricia Gibson, NC, Paul Thomas, NC. Bobby Joe, NC, Theresa Gearheart, Princeton, WV, Donna Stewart, NC, Beth Idol, NC. Penny Boyd, Bluefield, WV, Candy Fulp, Princeton, WV, Mickey Cochran, Bluefield, WV, Joey Lewis, Rocky Gap, VA. Michael Lewis, Rocky Gap, VA. Brady Lewis, Rocky Gap, VA. Curt Lewis, Arizona, and Katie Meadows, Hollybrook, VA. 43 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastors Betty Shields, Jeff Winter, and Paul Looney officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
