Roy David Hill

Roy David Hill, known to most by Pinky, age 69, passed away on Sunday, October 11th 2015. He was born in Pocahontas, VA and currently resided in Bluefield WV. He was preceded in death by father Joseph Hill and mother Constance Hill, sister Margaret Conley and husband George and brother Joe Gratton Hill, survived by wife Cecilia. He was an avid Nascar fan, particularly of Dale Earnhardt. Roy worked in construction, truck driving, and was a police officer for the Town of Pocahontas. Survivors include wife of 28 years Karen, sons Greggory Hill and girlfriend Jamaica Kee, Kevin Hill and wife Laura, Jason Hill and wife Shannon, John Hill, William Gullion, Michael Gullion, sisters Helen Gravely and husband Jerry, Connie Wynn, brother Blaine Hill and wife Edith, uncle, Rodney Hill; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services to be held on Thursday, October 15th at the First United Methodist Church in Pocahontas, VA at 12:00 noon with Pastor Carlos Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
