Roger Dale Hensley

Roger Dale Hensley of Fern St. Princeton, WV passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, September 11, 2015 at 3:30 am of a terminal illness. Roger was comforted by family and friends at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. At the time of his passing, Roger was 48 years old. Roger was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on December 29, 1966 to the late James Howard Hensley and Joanne Layne Hensley. Roger worked as a customer service rep with Smith Services in Princeton, WV. Roger was a veteran Of the U.S. Army. Roger is survived by his wife of 24 years, Teresa Hodges Hensley of Princeton, WV. Two daughters Jessica Lunsford and husband Adam of Princeton, WV and Brittany Hensley of Montcalm, WV. Five brothers James Hensley Jr of Ohio, Michael Hensley of NC, Danny Hensley and wife Angela of NC, David Hensley and wife Drema of WV and Gary Hensley of TN. Two Sisters Dolores Metz and husband Robert of OH and Debbie Daft and husband Kevin of OH. Grandchildren Riley and Grayson Lunsford and Paris and Daryl Bell. As well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Lafferty officiating the services. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV where Chris Buckner, Jeremy Meadows, Elvis Via, David Swim, Adam Lunsford and Allen Hardin serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
