Sarah "Jane" Shrader

Sarah Jane Holbrook Shrader, 67, of Nemours Valley Road, Bluefield, WV, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Jane was born on August 8, 1948 in Bluefield, to the late Curtis Madison Holbrook, Sr. and Mary Belle Brewer Holbrook. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis Holbrook (Bud), Bill Holbrook and Bob Holbrook. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Carl Wesley Shrader; and sons, Rodney Dewayne Shrader and Steven Brian Shrader of the home; and two grandsons, Ryan Matthew Shrader and Shawn Michael Shrader (Mash). Also surviving are her siblings, Louise Thompson of Wrights Valley, Bluefield, VA, Peggy Hamm of London, KY, and Nancy Taylor and husband Eugene of Bluefield, VA, and Betty Smith of Bluefield, VA, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Todd Peck officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday, prior to services, from 12:00-1:00 at the funeral home. Family visitation will be from 11:00 – 12:00.
