Frankie Rocchetti

Francesco (Frankie) Rocchetti, age 85, of Crumpler, WV, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on September 21, 1929 at Crumpler, he was the son of the late Mariano and Maria Giuliani Rocchetti. He was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Powhatan. He was a disabled coal miner and inventor to which he held 4 patents. He also ran for Governor of West Virginia in 1996 and 2012. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Eula Sardano and Itha DeStefano; 3 brothers, Abraham, Pete and Samuel Rocchetti; and 2 grandsons, James Ellis Caldwell, III, and Scotti Alexander Cordle. Those left to cherish his memory are his: Wife of 59 years: Addie Lou Rocchetti of the home 5 Daughters: Frances Lafferty and husband Larry of King George, VA Margie Cordle and husband Alex of Princeton, WV Teresa Rocchetti of Princeton, WV Beverley Rocchetti and fiancé Scott Mask of Portsmouth, VA Angela Rocchetti of King George, VA 4 sons: Michael Rocchetti and wife Elaine of Crumpler, WV Joseph Rocchetti of Crumpler, WV Louie Rocchetti of Bluefield, WV Perry Rocchetti and wife Brandi of Princeton, WV 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren Brother: Mosie (Mike) Rocchetti and wife Rosalie of Princeton, WV Numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Powhatan with Father Luis Anthony (Tony) Lascon officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocchetti Family Cemetery on Crumpler Mountain with friends and family serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell.
