Rosa Ellen Hendrick

Proverbs 31:28, “Her children arise up and call her blessed.” Rosa Ellen Hendrick, 85, of Pinnacle lake Road, Bluefield, WV, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Princeton Health Care with her family by her bedside. Rosa was born in Horsepen, VA on May 7, 1930 to the late Charles and Jenny Matthews Myers. She had lived in Bluefield for 65 years and was a retired manager at Dairy Queen’s for 30+ years. She was a special MaMaw to many children other than her own. She will be fondly remembered by countless friends and church family. She was a longtime member of the Mt. Herman Baptist Church In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sidney B. Hendrick; youngest son, Daniel Hendrick; two brothers, Clarence and Woodrow Myers; and one sister, Mildred Hellmandollar. Left to cherish her memory includes: 3 sons: Lemoyne Hendrick and wife Susan of Bluefield Andrew Hendrick and wife Patty of Bastian, VA Zyndall Hendrick and wife Rita of Bluefield 2 Daughters: Brenda Joan Culver and husband Gary of Princeton Barbara Jean Dobbs and husband Ricky of Bluefield Daughter in law: Geraldine “Dump” Hendrick of Bluefield 9 grandchildren: Angie Stafford and husband Phillip Michelle Hendrick Nathan Hendrick and wife Carmen Jason Culver and wife Natasha Brandon Hendrick Rachel Hendrick Amber Patterson and husband Stephen Patience Dobbs Kayden Dobbs Step Granddaughter: Candice Phillips 12 great-grandchildren 2 Brothers: William (Bill) Myers of Bluefield Robert (Bob) Myers of Bluefield Sister: Vivian Comer of Bluefield Special caregivers: The staff and nurses at Princeton Health Care Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Dewayne Belcher and Rev. Emory Marchant officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Brandon Hendrick, Jason Culver, Nathan Hendrick, Phillip Stafford, Gary Culver, and Ricky Dobbs serving as pallbearers.
