Joyce Gail Tolbert Cline, age 62, of Brightview Way, Bluefield, WV passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Born on January 18, 1953 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Guy and Mattie Rose Neal Tolbert. She had lived in the Bluefield area her entire life. She was known to all who loved her as “Nanny”. She was raised in Bramwell and was a graduate of Bramwell High School. She had worked as an advertising sales representative for the Bluefield Daily Telegraph. She also worked at Thornton’s Department Store. She was a loving, caring and passionate person who genuinely cared for others. She had worked as a nurse taking care of elderly people before becoming disabled herself. When her health permitted she loved visiting Gatlinburg and Myrtle Beach as well as band trips to watch her grandsons perform. She was of the Methodist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Guy and Denny Ray Tolbert.

Grandsons: Kameron Guy Underwood and Benjamin Ross Underwood of Galax, VA
Extended Family: Paul, Becky and Larry Hawks of Galax, VA
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Entombment will follow at the Roselawn Mausoleum in Princeton. Serving as her pallbearers will be Bobby, Junior, Paul, Cody, Sam and Bob.
Friends may call from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
