Melvin Junior Prevento 61, of Littlesburg Road Bluefield, WV passed away on Wednesday, August 05, 2015 at his residence.
Melvin was born on August 25, 1953 in Davy, WV to Melvin Prevento Sr. of Montcalm, WV and the late Thelma Jackson. Melvin had been a resident of Bluefield for the past 15 years and was of the Protestant faith. He was a graduate of Bluefield State College with an A.S. in Science and corrections and a B.S. of Criminal administrations. He served his country with the US Army. He was previous employed with Getty Production as a sound in Orlando, Florida. Melvin loved playing the Bass guitar and was in several bands For Presence Band, East Street Band and Southern Nights Band. His favorite saying “let me tell ya something buddy” will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Pastor Jimmy Russ officiating the service.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
