Phyllis Virginia Jennings

Phyllis Virginia Dunn Jennings, 69, of Montcalm, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on September 10, 1945 in Pocahontas, VA, she was a daughter of the late Coy Oscar and Laula Hodges Dunn. She had been a lifelong resident of Montcalm and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shelley; a sister, Betty; and a brother, Mac. Survivors include: Husband of 53 years: Verney “Ray” Jennings of the home Daughters: Priscilla Turner and Earl of Montcalm Drema Hensley and David of Glenwood Betty Pruett and Richard of Montcalm Pamela Belcher of Montcalm 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren Brother: Lonnie Dunn and Connie of Bluefield Sisters: Naomi Reed of Montcalm June Weiss of Montcalm Wanda Harden of Thomasville, NC Linda Jennings of Thomasville, NC Janice Wyatt of Montcalm Special friend: Louise Hodge of Bluefield Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Elders Lonnie and Dennie Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
