Dorothy Irene McCartney, 80, of Carswell Hollow Kimball, West Virginia passed away on July 06, 2015 at her home. Dorothy was born on July 09, 1934 in Ieager, West Virginia to the late Henry and Gladys Wickey Howard. She was of the Pentecostal faith and had been a resident of Kimball for the past 22 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Boyd McCartney, one brother Waldron Howard, Two sisters Waneda Howard and Alberta Howard Riffe, One special daughter Kathleen Stanley and one granddaughter Lisa Stanley. Survivors Include: One Son: Gilbert McCartney and wife Laura of Kimball, West Virginia One Daughter: Teresa Powell and husband Jeff of Princeton, West Virginia One Brother: Martin Howard and wife Dorothy of Hartville, Ohio Three Sisters: Lucille England of Ieager, West Virginia Pauline England of Akron, Ohio Edna Harlan of Elkins, West Virginia Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia with Rev. Danny Blackburn officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia where Timmy Pulliam, Brandon Powell, Timothy Powell, Chris Clower, Gilbert Stanley and Brandon Stanley will be serving as pallbearers. The McCartney family will be receiving friends and relatives on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
