Marlene Virginia Balthis

Marlene Virginia Balthis, age 88, of Bluefield WV, WV died on: June 3, 2015 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on July 7, 1926, in Coopers W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Arthur Hedrick and Alice Mitchell Hedrick. She had lived in Bluefield her life entire life and was a member of Brushfork Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Beaver High School and Bluefield Business College. She worked as head of the AAA license dept in Bluefield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 sisters 2 brothers and 1 grandson. Survivors include: Her son Earl Balthis and his wife Jodie Balthis, Sister Ruth Hedrick, Grandsons Patrick Balthis and Michael Jaramillo, Great Granddaughters Katie Balthis and Salina Balthis, Nieces Laura Ball, Debbie Mitchem, Tammy Clark, Kecia Foor, Christine Bordeaux, Nephew Melvin Gregg and cousin Scott Broyles. She will also be missed by a host of friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel at 3431 Coal Heritage Road with the Rev. Stephen P. Rector officiating. Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell WV.
