Lillie Mae Long

Lillie Mae Long, age 95, of Glen Wood Retirement Village, formerly of Maybeury, WV died on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Glen Wood. Born on January 5, 1920, in Maybeury, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Sarah Avery Long. She had lived in Maybeury most of her life and was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church there. She was a graduate of Elkhorn High School Class of 1939. She worked as a housekeeper in Bluefield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister. Survivors include: Caregivers: Pastor Harold Calloway and wife Geraldine Special Friends: Zee and J.C. Hurt She will also be missed by a host of friends and loved ones. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Restlawn Memorial Gardens on Route 20 near Bluewell with Rev. Harold Calloway officiating. Her friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
