Virginia "Jig" Ellen Gullett

Virginia Ellen “Jig” Johnson Gullett, 68, of Foy Bypass (Duhring), Bluefield, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at her home. Born on February 7, 1947 in McComas, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Gracie Adkins Johnson. She had been a resident of Montcalm for 40 years and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Dewayne Gullett; sisters, Maxi Haynes, Margaret Sackett, Daisy Lawless, Mary Pruner and Georgia Bishop; brother, Roy J. Johnson. Survivors include: Husband of 51 years: Bill E. Gullett, Sr. of the home Sons: Billy E. Gullett, Jr. and wife Karen of the home Ross L. Gullett of the home Todd S. Gullett and wife Kelly of Montcalm John Samuel Gullett of the home Daughter: Diana S. Shrewsbury and husband James of Rock 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren 2 sisters: Mildred Conley of Sandlick Dorothy Sheppard of Skating Rink Hollow Road Best friend and special cousin: Jenny Kosinar of Duhring Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Tracy Evans and nephew Brandon Conley officiating. Burial will follow at the Shillings Cemetery on Browning Lambert Mountain with Rick Conley, Rick Conley, Jr., Tyler Conley, Eric Herron and Tommy Shrewsberry serving as pallbearers. Danny Conley, Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
