Mary Elizabeth Bryant

Mary Elizabeth Goins Bryant, 94, of Clove Lane Statesville, NC and formerly of Gary, WV, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Maple Leaf Health Care in Statesville, NC. Born on October 15, 1920 in Wilcoe, WV, she was a daughter of the late Muncy and Alpha Goins. She had been a resident of NC for 3 years and had resided most of her life in Gary, WV. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Bryant; son, Michael Anthony Bryant; 5 brothers, James, Coy, Roy, Rose, and Harvey Goins; and 7 sisters, Hattie Fowler, Luvania Jones, Carrie Mullins, Onie Mitchem, Della Lewis, Vinnie Hayes, and Essey Goins. Survivors include: Son: Butch Bryant and wife Rita of Statesville, NC Daughter: Vinnie Martha Hollamon of Newton, NC 7 grandchildren Several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren Special Friends: Elizabeth Clark of Coalwood Charlotte Mitchell of Wilcoe, WV Sister: Gladys Mitchell of Wilcoe, WV Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 2:30 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. F. D Sexton and Rev. Ron Felts officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Danny, Dennis and Pete Mitchell; Josh Little, Jody Brooks, and JoJo Brooks will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:30 – 2:30 at the funeral home.
