John H. Rodrian

John H. Rodrian, age 91 of Westerville, OH passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in Bluffton, SC. Mr. Rodrian was born on August 14, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late John Dunnun Rodrian and Jane Harris Rodrian. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force during WWII. He received his formal education from Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, where he earned degrees in Electrical and Industrial Engineering. He worked for the American Electric Power Company where he then retired after 40 years of employment. He attended Grace Polaris Church in Westerville, OH, where he was active with the Adult Senior Sunday School Classes. Mr. Rodrian was founding board member and active supporter of the Joy Ranch www.Joyranch.org, a Christian Home for Children and any donations can be made in his name in lieu of flowers. Mr. Rodrian was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Eva Rodrian and his sister, Joan McNutt. He is survived by his sons, David Rodrian of Bluffton, SC and Mark Rodrian of Westerville, OH; daughter, Elizabeth Lewis of Powell, OH; grandchildren, Sarah, Alicia, Byron, and Evan; and great-grandson, John David. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, Bluewell, WV. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery.
