Rae Berneze Lester

Rae Berneze Shrader Lester, "Mamaw B", 95, of Sandlick, WV passed away May 7, 2015. She has joined her heavenly father, her beloved Earnest, and her friends. Berneze was born August 10, 1919 in Bluefield to K.B. and Forest Fielder Shrader. Berneze was a lifelong resident of Sandlick and a homemaker. She was a member of Sandlick United Methodist Church and attended Rogers Street Community Church the last few years of her life. Berneze had three amazing caregivers, Phyllis Bailey, Brenda Shrader, and Cathy Timmerman before entering Cassel's Board and Care in December where she has received care from the loving staff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Earnest, her sisters Claudine Lynch and Lala Hill and a brother Kenneth Shrader. Berneze is survived by her loving sons Wayne Lester and wife Joyce of Bluefield, WV and Douglas Lester and wife Faye of Boones Mill, VA. Grandchildren: Robert Lester and wife Lisa, Cindy Cox and husband Tim, Troy Lester and wife Kim, Matthew Lester and wife Hillery. Great Grandchildren: Mike Treolo and wife Jessica, Justin Lester, Ashton and Zachary Cox, Shane and Jeremy Lester, Mallery and Paxton Lester. Great Great Grandchildren Ava and Autumn Treolo. Sister Elene Gobbett and brother Carson Shrader. Special niece Joan Rose and nephew Billy Lynch. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 at Cravens- Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Gene Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Visitation with the family will be 12:30 till the time of the service hour.
