Tolby June Rose

Tolby June Rose, Sr., 77, of Coal Heritage Road, Bramwell, WV, went peacefully home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Maples Nursing Home in Bluefield. Born on February 26, 1938 in Clintwood, VA, he was a son of the late William Arthur Rose and Polly E. Tipton. He had been a resident of Bramwell for 45 years and was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired truck driver. He loved his family and friends and cherished every minute with them. He always enjoyed time with his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in the reserves for 4 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Lou Perry Rose; and a son, Tolby June Rose, Jr. Survivors include: 4 daughters: Tina Marie Rose Steptoe and husband Wayne Adam Steptoe, Sr. of the home Teresa Ann Rose of Gary Lois Ann Buchanan and Thomas of Princeton Mary Rorrer Rose of Montcalm 5 grandchildren: Nicholas Buchanan and Jessica of Princeton Jessica Ann Rose of Montcalm Sarah Ann Buchanan of Princeton McKayla and Destinee Steptoe of the home 2 great grandchildren: Christopher and Jackson of Princeton 3 brothers: Cecil Rose of Barnesville, GA Bob Rose and Shirley of Prescott Valley, AZ Bobby Joe Rose and Mary Rose of Cleveland, OH 2 sisters: Agnes Rose Bise of Clintwood, VA Joyce Rose Mullins of Clintwood, VA Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Kenny Bogart officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
