Michelle Lynn Byrd, age 43, of Chestnut Street, Bluefield, VA died on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on August 19, 1971 in Welch, she was the daughter of Howard Workman of Pineville, WV and Sylvia Knuckles Perry of Bluewell. She had lived in Bluefield, VA for the past 20 years and worked as a registered nurse for PAIS in Princeton and Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She had graduated with a RN-BSN degree. She was a member of the Church of God. In addition to her parents, survivors include: Sons: Dacota Byrd of Bluefield, VA Devin Watkins of Bluefield, VA Daughter: Desera Byrd of Bluefield, VA Brother: Junior Workman and wife Karen of Pineville, WV Half-Brother: Everett Dean Perry of Bluefield, WV Half Sister: Debra Perry of Bluefield, WV Step-Father: Everette Perry of Bluewell, WV Fiancé: Ronnie Holbrook of Bluefield, VA Grandson: Michael Wimmer of Bluefield, VA Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Kenneth Abram and Rev. Dolly Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Bluewell where her family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
