Rita Gay Bailey

Rita Gay Bailey, 59, of Elliston, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2015 following a short illness. Born on August 13, 1955 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late John and Altheda Holt Williams. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Refuge Church in Elliston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Roten. Survivors include: Husband: Wallace Bailey of the home Daughter: Amy Sawyers of Christiansburg, VA Brothers: Eddie Williams of wife Betty of Bluefield Harry Williams and wife Kim of Elliston, VA Four grandchildren who were the joys of her life, Josh, Jacob, Kayln and Meagan Sawyers, all of Elliston, VA Several nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Chuck Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial gardens in Princeton with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
