Jerry Dean Ritchie

Jerry Dean Ritchie, 56, of Packing Plant Road (Bluewell), Bluefield, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his home. Born on March 9, 1959 in Cincinnati, OH, he was a son of the late Edward and Edith Crockett Ritchie. He had been a resident of Bluewell for 30 years and was a coal miner and carpenter. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Crockett. Survivors include: Wife: Cindy Tessa Ritchie of the home Sons: Jerry Ritchie and wife Jo of Princeton Phillip Ritchie of War Jeremy Ritchie and Stephanie of Bluefield Daughter: Kiesha Hale and husband Joe of Bluefield Grandchildren: Lewis Paul, Amber, Jeri Grace, Deanna, Breanna, Destiny, Abby and Kayleigh Brothers: Charles Ritchie and wife Marka of Cool Ridge Larry Ritchie and wife Drema of Newhall Gary Ritchie of Concord, NC Ronnie Ritchie of Hendersonville, NC William Ritchie of Hickory, NC James Ritchie and wife Teresa of Statesville, NC Tony Ritchie of Welch Chris Ritchie and wife Jackie of Kannapolis, NC Sisters: Patricia Hagerman and husband Johnny of War Brenda Hagerman and husband Steve of War Shirley Beaver and husband Scotty of Mooresville, NC Joyce McCoy and husband Kenny of War Wilma Linkous and husband Phillip of Tazewell, VA Marsha Vest and husband Tim of Statesville, NC Rebecca Muncy and husband Kenneth of War Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:30-2:00 at the funeral home.
