Mary Sue Richardson

Mary Sue Richardson, 84, of Bluefield, VA, formerly of Bluefield, WV, surrounded by her family members, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Richardson; her sister Fannie Lou Henderson, her brother Paul E. Cochran, Jr., her brother-in-law Donald R. Ragan and several nephews. Mary Sue was born to the late Paul E. and Hattie Moore Cochran of Anawalt, WV. She had been a resident of Westwood Nursing Home for the last several years, She was the beloved sibling of Evelyn Cochran Ragan of Bluefield, VA, Naomi (and Robert) Cochran Krishock of Sterling, VA, James (and Shirley) Cochran of Martinsville, VA, Samuel (and Diane) Cochran of Kernersville, NC, and Kathy (and Greg) Shafer of Princeton, WV. Many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, played a loving role in Mary Sue's life. Among those special cousins who gave loving care to Mary Sue are Eva Colopictra and Claudette Egleson . She was surrounded by many loving and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Saturday from 2:00-3:00 at the funeral home.
