Billy Ray Punturi

Billy Ray Punturi, 72, of Jenny Street, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Westwood Center in Bluefield, VA. Born on December 27, 1942 in Montcalm, he was a son of the late Nindo and Ethel Hall Punturi. He had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and was a retired sheet metal worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Rita and Ruth Mullins. Survivors include: Son: Billy R. Punturi, Jr. of Lexington, NC Daughter: Andrea Smith of Lexington, NC Granddaughter: Tiffany Smith Brothers: Robert Punturi of Montcalm Daniel Punturi and Carol of Bluefield Nindo Punturi, Jr. and Sheila of Princeton Johnny Punturi of Bluefield, VA Brian Punturi and Bonnie of Martinsville, VA Sisters: Judy Nelson and Johnny of Montcalm Carol Perry and John of Bluefield Joan White and Allen of Bluefield Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday, prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home.
