Jeffrey Whitehead

Jeffrey Main Whitehead, age 59, known to family and friends as JDUBB was born March 1, 1955 to the late Jack and Ethel Sue Peoples of Bluefield WV. Jeffrey was a native of the area as he was called home to glory on Friday, February 13, 2015 He spent a lifetime building a Legacy of Leading the Way, Providing, Protecting, Learning, Teaching and Loving. A Wonderful Man, an Extra-Ordinary Sibling and an Amazing Father. He was the Proud owner of JDUBBS Electric, employee of Celanese Corp, former employee of Appalachian Power Co. He was preceded in death by parents and sibling Sarah (JOY) Johnson. He Leaves to Cherish his memory: Longtime Companion of 30 years, Jacqueline Whitehead, 1 and only child, Monica Whitehead, Grandchildren: Winter McKinney and England McKinney. Siblings: Jackie Whitehead (Renee), Dale Cheatum, Jeanie Smalls (Hugh), Johnny Peoples (Stephanie), Chris Peoples (Robin), Sammy Peoples. Aunts and Uncles: Sallie Mae, Christine, David Lee, and Bob Whitehead Longtime Friend and Caregivier: Teena Dillard. Special Friend: Zelda and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly. His presence will not be forgotten. As he has now received his wings, and fly on he must. For we will continue to carry on the torch of his legacy. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Donald Gibson officiating. Friends may call, prior to the services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
