Wallace Bernard Finley

Wallace Bernard “Uncy” Finley, age 71, of Tams Highway, Sophia, WV, beloved brother “Uncy”, uncle, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2015 at Raleigh General Hospital. Born on August 16, 1943 in McDowell County, he was a son of the late Arley James and Ida Mae Mullins Finley. He had been a resident of Gary for the greater part of his life where he lived with his brother, Lee Finley and the late Janice Finley and family. He was a genuine soul; loved going to church and listening to gospel music. She loved to cut grass and play horseshoes with his brother Lee. Everyone who knew Wallace “Uncy” loved him very much and he only had kind words to say. He had the biggest heart that anyone could have and he will be truly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, one niece, and one nephew. Survivors include: Brother: Lee Finley and wife Lavale of Sophia 4 nieces, 5 nephews 6 great nephews, 3 great nieces and 2 great-great nieces; Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Lucille Soto and Rev. Libby and Randall Brickey officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may call on Sunday from 9:30-11:00 at the funeral home.
