Haller Wesley Curran, 85, of New Hope Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at his home.
Born on February 28, 1929 in Thornhill, WV, he was a son of the late Lynch Alexander and Johnsie McMillian Curran. He had been a resident of Route 20 in Bluewell for 44 years and was a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church. He was a retired coal miner and shop foreman for 37 years and was a member of the UMWA. He was a member of the Bailey Masonic Lodge #137 AF&AM where he had just received his 50 year recognition pin in 2014. He was also a member of the Beni-Kedem Shrine in Charleston.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Don Curran; and sisters, Marie Howard and Jackie Howard.

2 great grandchildren: Chase and Peyton Mounts
Brother: L.A. Curran and Anne of Wisconsin
Sister: Gerry Davis and Dan of Alexandria, VA
Sister in law: Ann Kendrick
Brother in law: Dave Richmond and Gordon Howard

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Jeff Winter officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where masonic rites will be performed by the Bailey Masonic Lodge #137 AF&AM and will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Friday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
