Jesse Lee Cook

Jesse Lee Cook, 39, of Bluefield, Virginia was welcomed into Heaven Thursday, January 22, 2015 after a long illness. Born on February 26, 1975 in Tazewell, Virginia he was the son of Gail Cook. Jesse was a member of East End Baptist Church. He loved all of his family dearly. He served as PTA Dad at Springville Elementary for several years. He loved to help with fund raisers and events. Jesse was a true Hokie Fan and loved Virginia Tech football. Jesse was a true inspiration to everyone he met and will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful and devoted Dad to his sweet daughter Faith. Jesse was preceded in death by his grandparents LB and Irma Cook and father in law Henry Hamm. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 15 years Libby Cook and the pride of his life, daughter Faith Elizabeth Cook; his mother Gail Cook of Bluefield, VA; mother-in-law Betty Maines of Abbs Valley, Virginia; brother-in-law Phillip Maines and wife Michele of Bishop, Virginia; Niece Stephanie Maines Dishman and husband Jeremy of Tazewell, Virginia and Michaela Maines of Bishop, Virginia; uncles that he considered as brothers Tim Cook and wife Veronica of Richmond, Virginia; Jim Cook and wife Tamera of Texas; aunts Eppie Sullivan of Bluefield, Virginia and Pat Smith and husband Darryl of Minnesota. A memorial service to celebrate Jesse’s life will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at East End Baptist Church in Bluefield, West Virginia with Rev. Chad Lambert officiating the service. The family will be receiving friends and relatives from 1:00 p.m. until the time of his service at the Church.
