Lily Virginia Zeoli

Lily Virginia Zeoli, age 96, of Methodist Hill Road, Montcalm, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV. Virginia was born on April 10, 1918 in New River, VA to the late Vivian and Preston Simpkins. Virginia was a lifelong member of the Montcalm United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the XYZ Club with the Bluewell United Methodist Church. In years past bowling was her favorite activity at Mountaineer Lanes. She was a caring, loving and compassionate person who always thought of others and their needs instead of her own. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Zeoli; four sisters, Elizabeth Hurd, Ruth Zeoli, Margaret Sigmon and Lillie Wolkoff; two brothers, Preston Simpkins, Jr. and Percy Simpkins; and one grandson, Matthew Austin. Left to cherish precious memories: Son: Danny Zeoli and wife Janice of Dublin, VA Daughters: Rosalie Austin of Buford, GA Judy Jennings of Montcalm, WV with whom she made her home the past few years Granddaughters: Kim Stafford and husband Chris of Radford, VA Kathy DeFalco and husband Chris of Roanoke, VA Terri Strawn and husband Jay of Lawrenceville, GA Teresa Jennings of Cary, NC Grandsons: Alan Austin and wife Karie of Lancaster, PA Richard Jennings and wife Wendy of Apex, NC 7 great-grandchildren Sisters: Juanita Amos of Bluefield, WV Faye Williams of Bluefield, VA Norma Jean Langevin of Lakeland, FL Brothers: Ray Simpkins of Pembroke, VA Howard Simpkins of Montcalm, WV The family will receive friends on Monday evening, January 12, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Melody Rickman and Rev. David Ratcliff officiating. Burial will follow at the Roselawn mausoleum in Princeton, WV. Her family and friends will be serving pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions if desired can be made to the Montcalm United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 7, Montcalm, WV 24737.
