Frances Holiway, 94, of Coal Heritage Road, Bluefield, WV, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Maples Nursing Home in Bluefield.
Born on July 29, 1920 in Maxwell, VA, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Ida Mae Henderson Rouse. She attended Switchback Elementary and Elkhorn High School and later attended the Beacon Business College and Bluefield Business College. She worked at the Dravo Corp in Wilmington, DE and the worked as a secretary at Eastern Gas and the Joy Service Center. She was a member of the Kimball Order of the Eastern Star and was a 58 year member of the Brushfork United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Holiway; a daughter, Doris Haun Money; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Daughter: Karen Evans Turner and Joe of Bluefield, VA
5 grandchildren: Crystal, Tabitha, Amber, John (JT), and Heather
4 great grandchildren: Hailey, Jorvan, John and Isabelle

Special great nephew: John Monaco of Bluefield
Her best friend: Virginia Hylton of Bluefield
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Tony Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
