Russell Hamilton Nunley

Russell Hamilton Nunley 73 of Windmill Hill Road Bluefield, WV passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. He was born January 28, 1941 in Brewsterdale, WV to the late Daniel and Jean McClure Nunley. He had been a resident of Bluewell for most of his life and was a member of the Brewsterdale Church of Jesus Christ. He was the owner and operator of Russell’s Rod Shop and enjoyed restoring antique cars. He was retired from the coal industry with 40 years of service, was retired from Cleveland Cliff in Pineville where was a mechanic and was a member of the UMWA . In addition to his parents he was preceded in death his wife, Helen Marie Farmer Nunley; a son, Michael Nunley; a brother, Victor Nunley and a sister, Sue Nunley. Survivors include: Three Sons: Russell James Nunley and wife Cammie of Falls Mills, Virginia Ronald Lee Nunley and wife Suzette of Sandlick, West Virginia Anthony Nunley and wife Shelly of Bluewell, West Virginia Step-daughter: Tammy Doss of Bluewell, West Virginia Two Grandsons: Robbie Doss and wife Shelia Aaron Doss Three Granddaughters: Donna Coleman and husband Richard Holly Mullins and husband Benny Jessica Cline Seven Great Grandchildren Brothers: Danny Nunley and Elva of Bassett, VA Ernest Nunley and Sandy of Tazewell , VA Larry Nunley and Diane of Bland, VA Sisters: Violet Pratt of Christiansburg, VA Nancy Nunley of Christiansburg, VA Betty Perry and Buck of Tazewell, VA The family will be receiving friends and family on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Ronny and Katheryn Marrs officiating the service. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 12:00PM at Church of Jesus Christ in Brewsterdale, WV with Pastors Ronny and Katheryn Marrs officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Brewsterdale Cemetery in Brewsterdale, WV where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
