Maudie Faye Sharrone

Maudie Faye (Farmer) Sharrone gracefully and peacefully passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 at her home in Brooklyn,Ohio with loved ones present. "Faye" was born on April 16, 1914 in Ashe County, North Carolina to James Garfield Farmer and Carrie (Price) Farmer. She was a long time resident of Pageton in McDowell County but has been residing with her daughter Shirley in Brooklyn, Ohio for the last 14 years. Mrs. Sharrone was preceded in death by her husband Frank Sharrone, daughter Mable Sharrone and sons Johnny and Terry, granddaughter Beverly Krutowskis and grandson, Christopher Sharrone and seven siblings along with her mother and father. "Faye" was the mother of Shirley (Bill) Goins of Brooklyn, Ohio, Johnny Sharrone, Terry Sharrone, Mable Sharrone, Debra (John) Goins of Wellington, Ohio and Dennis (Rosanne) Sharrone of Hiram, Ohio. Mrs. Sharrone had 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. "Faye" loved her family, flowers and gardening. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She will be deeply, deeply missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 13 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may call on Friday, December 12 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
