Flora E. Phillips, 80, of Blue Prince Road (Green Valley), Bluefield, WV, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Ridgecare Personal Care Home in Princeton.
Born on September 7, 1934 in Floyd, VA, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Ada Salmon Hazelwood. She had been a resident of the Bluefield area since the 1970’s and was a member of the Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, John Richard Phillips; a sister, Virginia Belcher of Floyd, VA.

2 sons: Steve Phillips and wife Carrie of Rock, WV
Darrell Phillips of Roanoke, VA
3 grandchildren: Travis, Jonathan and Seth Phillips
3 great grandchildren: Jessica, Kalan and Micah Phillips
Brother: Calvin Hazelwood of Roanoke, VA
2 sisters: Jean Moran of Floyd, VA
Frances Thompson & Bobby of Deland, FL
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. George Stamper officiating. Burial will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery in Floyd, VA where grandsons and family will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
